Set off on an  thrilling snowmobile adventure across the stunning Finnmarksvidda plateau, one of Europe’s most extensive and remote landscapes. Starting at Æventyr Adventure Store in the center of Alta, you’ll be transferred to Gargia Valley, where your guide will brief you on the journey ahead.

Participants will be provided all the necessary gear, including thermal suits, boots, and gloves. No prior experience is needed to drive a snowmobile, but a valid driver’s license is required. After a thorough safety briefing, participants will ride in pairs, taking turns to drive as you follow the old postal road through the snow-covered terrain.

Along the route, you’ll experience the crisp Arctic air and incredible views as you travel 30 km to the historic Suolovuopmi Mountain Lodge, once a stop along the postal route. Here, you'll enjoy a traditional meal before heading back to Gargia Lodge.

Additional Information

You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip. If you want to drive all by yourself, select that in the booking.

Changes may occur due to weather. The supplier reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the trip if the weather conditions appear unsafe.

Only the holders of a valid B class drivers license are allowed to drive a snowmobile in Norway. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Participants without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers.

This tour is not recommended for pregnent womens and people with back issues.
