The activity starts at Æventyr's Explorer Store, where guests will be given a brief about the itinerary for the day. Here you will get ready for the crab safari with the necessary gear and then head to the starting point with your guide. Once all participants are on board, you will embark on an adventurous journey across Altafjord.

During the fjord tour, guests will be taken to sites of historical importance. While passing across these locations, your guide will narrate stories that bring Altafjord to life. Throughout the fjord, there are breathtaking alpine peaks for your eyes to feast upon. The trip continues to the inner parts of the fjord, where the captivating views of lofty mountains await you.

The ride across the fjord ends in Storekorsnes, a fishing village with a cosy atmosphere. Enjoy the lovely vibes here while walking through the green patches of meadows. This is where the crab safari's highlight will take place – watching live king crabs in an aquarium! Guests will be taken to a local eatery where they serve the popular fish soup. Participants will also be taken for a tea/coffee break in the village before taking the return trip.

All participants are provided with safety equipment for the fjord tour. Pregnant women and those who have back problems are advised not to enrol. Under harsh weather conditions, Æventyr will adjust the itinerary accordingly to include inner parts of the fjord and a lunch of two courses after that at Stakeriet.
