In Kautokeino, you’ll experience authentic Sami culture up close – from traditional handicrafts to storytelling by the fire. One of the highlights of the tour is visiting a reindeer herder, where you’ll meet the animals and gain insight into the age-old connection between the Sámi people and their reindeer. The northern lights often dance across the sky here in winter, adding a magical touch to an already unforgettable adventure.
We will stays in a comfortable hotel. After check in we visit a traditional sami camp for a evening with the reindeer herder and his reindeer. We will end the evning in a traditional lavvo by the fire with culture experience and local food. The menu for the evening will be based on local and local food that gives you a unique culinary experience. If you like you can book a own lavvo for a overnight stay in the camp. This is extra.
After breakfast we start our journey back to Alta. On the way we stop for lunch at a historical mountain lodge where we are served traditional local food.

The snow begins to melt. Streams reappear, and the tundra awakens. Reindeer calves are born. Experience the transition from winter to spring, with vibrant skies and softening trails across open land.
