The tour starts at 3:00 pm in downtown Alta. A team member will greet you and pick you up from the meeting point. After a short ride, you will reach the supplier's farmstead in the nearby countryside. Here you will board a sled drawn by a Norwegian Fjord horse, a breed known for its patience and strength, used in Norway for centuries.
You will be given blankets to bundle up as the evenings can be pretty cold in Alta. When you've comfortably settled in the sled, embark on a wondrous journey into the wilderness. Be prepared to be awestruck by the sceneries that unfold before you as you whiz past the forest and then along the Alta River! Feel the crisp wind in your hair and listen to the merry sleigh bells' chimes.
The ride comes to an end at a wilderness shelter where you can take a break. Here, a fire will be lit to keep you warm in the blistering cold. You will then be served a filling 3-course meal consisting of a late appetiser, dinner, and dessert. After relishing your meal and spending some more time at the shelter, it will be time to go back to the farmstead. From here, you will be transferred back to Alta, and the tour will end.
